I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in magazine journalism , French and history. That’s right, I was a nerdy triple major.
Since Syracuse, I’ve worked for the State Department in Brussels, Belgium; I also fell into travel journalism through a fantastic internship at National Geographic Traveler . I still do some freelance fact-checking for them from time to time, although I’m currently a researcher for a major Japanese daily paper, The Mainichi Shimbun . (In English here .)
